[edit]I've reverted the page to the version without the Venn diagram, as the diagram is incorrect (assuming the text is correct). It includes Ireland within the "British Islands", whereas the text only includes Northern Ireland SP-KP 15:55, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Diagram incorrect. The British Isles includes the entire island of Ireland, the British Islands do not. Paul Beardsell 20:57, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Definition
[edit]The article says "the current formal definition can be found in the Interpretation Act 1978". This is not accurate. It is not the defintion of "British Islands" because it does not apply to the interpretation of Acts passed before 1889. I am going to change the words "the current formal definition" to "a statutory definition". James500 (talk) 05:29, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on British Islands. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20081120205642/http://www.gov.gg/ccm/navigation/home-department/customs---excise--immigration---nationality-service/immigration---nationality-division/ to http://www.gov.gg/ccm/navigation/home-department/customs---excise--immigration---nationality-service/immigration---nationality-division/
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).
